On the 4th Day of Christmas…
We hosted the first of two Christmas parties for kids with special needs. There were 40 people here plus us and the other volunteers… so around 50 people altogether.
We did some fun crafts with the kids and the moms, we decorated sugar cookies, we had a special visit from Father Frost and Snow Maiden (the equivalent to Santa Claus) who brought lots of gifts for the kids, and we told the Christmas Story and the plan for salvation.
It’s always interesting when such a group arrives, but it was a great time together. We met many new families who we have never met before. It was truly a blessing.
You must understand that these families don’t typically have invitations to parties so it is a great joy that we are able to do something for them, even if only in a small way.
