Falling Leaves and Temperatures

Clearly, Fall is here in force.   We awoke this morning to VERY cool temp and VERY strong wind.   It reminded me of the blustery day in Winnie the Pooh.   Most of the remaining leaves fell today thanks to the wind.
We attended the Fall Festival today at KCA in Kyiv.  The kids had a good time and who doesn’t love free candy!

Driving to Kyiv, there was a gas station attendant sweeping leavings from the gutter in front of their station.  Did I mention that there was strong wind and leaves blowing with force all over the city?  Swirling all around this guy were hundred of leaves and there he was sweeping with his little bitty, bend way over because the handle is so short broom.  I wondered if he realized how pointless his project was or if maybe he was just doing it because someone told him to do it.  I didn’t know whether to feel sorry for him or laugh at the absurdity of it.  I guess I did a little of both.

Today was a day filled with work after the Fall Festival.  The to do lists around here multiply instead of getting smaller.   How is that possible?

But nonetheless… God is good all the time.  Blessing the name of The Lord today.

Happy Lord’s Day tomorrow.

Chris Malone

It is a joy to serve our Lord with the bride of my youth, Mary, and our children. Our nine kids are not all living at home anymore. One has already completed university and has started her career. One is finishing his master's degree and will start his career soon. One is completing her freshman year at university. That leaves six at home. One of those completes high school this year. Amazing since Mary and I are only 30 years old (at least in our minds).
