Thank you for PRAYING!

We have been making preparations to depart May 23.  We’ve got tickets and we are getting things in order here to be gone for 2 1/2 months. God has answered our/your prayers about the people we leave behind here.  They have all affirmed our decision and await our return the middle of August. While we are in the States we will have the opportunity to share what God has been doing here in Ukraine and share our dreams about what He WILL do in the future.  We will see family and friends.  Our kids will go have checkups to be sure that everything is okay with their health and development.  We will take advantage of the time there to de-stress and RECHARGE for a busy Autumn here in Ukraine.  We will be making preparations while we are in the States for a fall conference for families with special needs kids in the Zhytomyr area.  They are excited for us to come and we are MORE excited to have the opportunity.  Specifically, it will be in a small village that was created after the Chernobyl disaster for displaced families.  Some families have 2 or 3 children with severe disabilities.  It’s a great opportunity to connect with parents.  We will continue to work on language study while we are in the States.  We will do lessons by Skype with our teacher here in Ukraine, God willing. And, of course, we will get Hannah settled at school. The time will go fast, we know. It’s a difficult time in Ukraine right now, of course, but we are grateful that nothing is ever out of the reach of our Great God.  He IS in control. We depend on Him for all we need – spiritually, emotionally, physically, financially – everything.  He is our All in all. Thank you for continuing to pray and we will see many of you before you know it!

Prayer Needs—Your prayers make a difference!

  • leaving here will be very hard emotionally for us for so many reasons
  • the actual trip will be very hard with the little’s (in case you don’t know, we have 8 children with us (1 is in the USA in college) and five of them have Down syndrome and are like toddlers and preschoolers)
  • we need a place to stay in the USA — my mom has graciously invited us to stay with her, but that probably needs to be temporary for her sanity
  • we need a large vehicle to drive while in the USA

We trust the Lord to meet all these needs, but if He calls you to be part of the answer, thank you for responding!

Chris Malone

It is a joy to serve our Lord with the bride of my youth, Mary, and our children. Our nine kids are not all living at home anymore. One has already completed university and has started her career. One is finishing his master's degree and will start his career soon. One is completing her freshman year at university. That leaves six at home. One of those completes high school this year. Amazing since Mary and I are only 30 years old (at least in our minds).
